EASeR targets a specific aspect of USAR assessment named “barrier effect” during emergency interventions in response to catastrophes. A response to the “barrier effect” has never been deepened.
Objectives: to identify all the relevant elements to overcome USAR assessment problems and to enhance response capacity in a complex emergency scenario due to catastrophes (i.e. earthquake).
In a medium/long period EASeR is expected to contribute effectively to:
- improve the efficiency in search and rescue operations;
- reduce the time of interventions on site related to victims’ rescue.
